I’m trying to film the moon (really pretty full moon) with my Sony Handy-Cam HDR-XR200, but I realize that it’s(the moon) too bright, so I decrease the exposure, but as I do that the pretty clouds and night sky disappears, so… how can I get both? I want the night sky plus clouds and the full moon (not too bright)
I’m no pro but I was getting into HDR a little bit today. My photos just don’t look as cool & dramatic as I have seen out there. Maybe its just me. I might post a link here later to show them. Any Advice?

How many exposures do you use? how does this make a diff?
What settings do you use when tone mapping?
Are certain shots just more dramatic than others?

I got a SD880 IS for my birthday and I’m really enjoying it, but I’m wanting to get more advanced with it. I’m hoping that I can get some advice on how to take more advanced photos. I’ve been doing some reading online, but I was curious if there is anything that my camera can do that isn’t something most cameras can do.
Are there any type of changes I can make to the setting to make my photos come out looking unique or different than most photos?
I’ve been reading on how to do HDR photos. Everything I’ve read states that I will need to use Photoshop CS2. Thing is, I don’t have a grand to drop. Would I be able to use GIMP instead? Has anyone had any luck taking HDR photos with this camera?

I got a HDR-SR12 camcorder for christmas and have a question – well many but this is the first.
What is the need for a memory stick on a hard disk camcorder? Is it just easy access? A little more space? Not that I think you will need it with this one?
What about must have accessories? Does anyone know what screen protector to get or are they all the same?
